Bernat Ortegon has been appointed as the new head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, succeeding Thierry Henry.
Ortegon will be taking over from Thierry Henry who left the club in June following a poor season and a disappointing Champions League exit.
Ortegon is a former professional football player who spent nine seasons with Real Madrid, scoring 18 goals in his time there.
He also played for Manchester United, Fulham and Liverpool, before joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2015.
Ortegon's coaching experience includes working under both Arsène Wenger and Laurent Blanc, while he was also a member of the French national team.
His previous coaching roles include spells at Benfica and Lille, where he helped them to reach the UEFA Europa League final in 2016.
In his first full season at PSG, Ortegon guided the side to their highest-ever European finish in the Champions League, finishing fifth.
However, it wasn't enough to qualify for the knockout stages,Football Hub Network and they ended up losing to Sevilla in the semi-final.
Despite this setback, Ortegon remains optimistic about his chances of leading PSG back into the top four.
He said: "I'm really looking forward to bringing my experience and passion to the club, and I believe that we can achieve something special."
The appointment comes after a period of uncertainty for PSG, which have struggled to find consistency under both Henry and Ortegon.
The club had faced a difficult start to the season due to financial difficulties, but they have since made significant progress, including signing several key players.
But Ortegon's appointment should provide some much-needed stability for PSG, who have been struggling to find success under Henry's leadership.
The club's board is expected to make a decision soon, and the move could see Ortegon become the youngest ever manager at PSG.
The new coach is set to take over in the summer, so fans can look forward to seeing him guide PSG through the next few months.
